As a Christian, what should you know about Islam?

It’s so important for a Christian to know about those who surround him. This knowledge helps him understand what’s going on around him either in his country or in the whole world. It also answers a lot of questions. The Holy Gospel warns us of ignorance “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices” 2 Corinthians 2:11 and encourages knowledge “And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches” Proverb 24:4. Understanding Islam – even in general- helps us deliver Christ’s message to Muslims. It helps answering their questions about our Christian faith“ But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear”1Peter 3:15.
